When I was younger, it was a long winter’s slog to get down to the local job center to trawl your way through masses of unsuitable jobs. Surrounded by fellow teenagers looking desperately for work – the task was an horrible experience!
Over the last decade or so, job searches have become a lot easier – all you need is a CV (resume), an email address and a username…then you’re good to go.
Online job searches have made the process 100% easier (in my humble opinion), but are all these online job boards up to standard?
When something on the internet works, and becomes popular, it’s only a matter of time before the scammers move in!
That brings us to our review of My Home Job Search – a new breed of job board.
So, is My Home Job Search scam or is My Home Job Search legit?
Let’s take a closer look…

The My Home Job Search Review
What is My Home Job Search?
My Home Job Search was created by a guy named Michael Anderson – he claims he put it together because he wanted to help people find legit work online.
The platform he created is made up of two levels – the paid membership and the free membership.
The free version actually has some decent features – it lists online mini task sites and even locates ‘physical’ jobs in your local area.
The paid version opens up a few more ‘special’ boards and costs $29 (apparently this is reduced down from the normal price of $99 – which is probably bullsh#t!).
My Home Job Search Jobs
Okay, let’s take a closer look on at the jobs this platform offers…
The majority of the jobs listed on this site board are online jobs you can find yourself with a simple Google search – actually, I think ALL of them turn up on the first page of results with a ‘work online’ search.
Nothing wrong with the sites listed there – the mighty Clixsense, Swagbucks, Global Test Market and many others.
These are not really ‘jobs’ of course – they are referred to as GPT (Get Paid To) sites.
This means they offer low paying data entry jobs, survey tasks and various sign up offers – all legit…but I doubt very much you can make $400 a week with them (or whatever you consider to be a weekly wage!).
Then we come to the dubious ‘Make Money’ section of the board – this is where the REAL red flags start waving…
I discovered that EVERY job listed in this section actually leads to the same opportunity – the exact same sales page claiming I could earn $379 per day with a simple system.
I’ve covered hundreds (maybe even thousands!) of these ‘simple systems’ on this site before…they ain’t what they seem…
But, the local search consists of you inputing your postcode/zipcode and then being supplied with a list of local jobs.
If I’m honest – it’s probably better if you visit the actual jobsite for your area, provided by the government!
Is My Home Job Search Legit?
Well, My Home Job Search seems to be a mash-up of legit options and scam options – so I’m inclined to label it a bit of a scam.
Mind you, it is worth pointing out that you have to pay for a membership at Flexjobs.com (something they don’t mention at My Home Job Search!).
There are further job boards available on the system…but they are locked…and you have to pay the membership fee to open them.
So what are you left with?
Well, the free membership gives you a list of local jobs (handy enough), a list of readily available online mini-task sites (which you’ve probably already heard of) and numerous links to the same scam option (yes – it’s a scam option!).
Not really that effective, is it?
The actual website itself didn’t fill me with confidence – it was a shoddy job with a fake Facebook counter set up (check yourself on Facebook – they don’t even have their own page!).
There are also a ton of positive reviews on the homepage but unfortunately…these people are not real.
As a matter of fact – I recognize 99% of these images from other fake reviews out there, they are taken from stock images!
Searching For a REAL Online Opportunity?
If you are looking for real work online, I’m afraid My Home Job Search just won’t cut it!
Some of the websites it covers offer legit small time wages…but nothing that will help you escape the nine-to-five rat race.
If you want to earn REAL MONEY online I’m afraid there are no shortcuts – you are going to have to learn the ropes and build something sustainable…
