Not everyone comes online to make a million – some people are happy just making a couple of hundred extra dollars, to help with the monthly bills.
GPT sites (Get Paid To) fit right into this category – you’re not going to get rich using them, but you are going to be able to make easy money (in most cases!).
Today we are looking at yet another addition to the GPT world – CashCrate.
So, is CashCrate a scam or legit site?
What is CashCrate?
Let’s take a closer look…
The CashCrate Review
What is CashCrate?
Cashcrate, LLC, headquartered in Las Vegas, NV 89119-4679, has been around since 2006 and is run by a dude named Patrick Clochesy.
GPT sites like this get paid by big companies who are looking for feedback on their products or services. CashCrate splits the money they are paid with their members, who are handing over their opinions on these products.
It’s a simple setup where everyone’s a winner!
If you want to use the CashCrate service, you will need to be over the age of 13 and have a valid email address. Once you have inputted your details they will send you a confirmation link through the email you provided – click the link and you’re in!
How Much Money Can You Earn With CashCrate Surveys?
Okay, I’ve already touched on the fact that these sites are not set up to replace your day job – if you are looking for full time work online you will need to go down the affiliate marketing route.
That being said – you can still earn half decent cash with these setups…
A survey that lasts about 15 to 20 minutes will pay out around the $0.50 to $1 rate, not great, but money all the same!
The longer surveys will always give you a better rewards, but they are super-boring to complete. You are usually looking at $2 to $3 for one of these longer examples.
The offers vary in price, depending on what you’ve got to do to complete them. Most pay out no more than about two dollars.
The various tasks, like watching videos, searching online, playing games etc, do not pay out that much – you’re looking at pennies here at best!
You also have the option of building a downline within CashCrate, where you invite friends as referrals and make money off their actions as a member.
CashCrate Money Generator – Getting Paid
You have to reach the $20 threshold before you can cash out your earnings on this site. Once you have reached this level you can opt to get paid via mailed check, or PayPal for high ranking members.
They send money out at the end of each month.
Okay, first of all I need to get one little gripe off my chest – the payment options CashCrate offers (which we covered in the last section above!).
Simply put – they are pretty shitty!
Why do they only offer Paypal to members that have broken their back working at the site?
Well, to make sure ALL new members break their backs to reach this Paypal option…
Not really that fair, is it?
For a company that claims to help people from all over the globe make money, it’s actually pointless and somewhat puerile, not to have services such as PayPal to conveniently pay it’s members.
I struggle to remember the last time I encountered a work online website that did not offer an internet payment processor…
During my short membership period I noticed a huge influx of new emails hitting the account I had signed up with – most of these were spam promotions from CashCrate’s affiliate links…
Long story short – don’t sign up with a main email address, use a vacant new one!
A quick search through online forums brought up a lot of complaints from past members regarding the earning levels – apparently there isn’t always that much work available on their platform.
Is CashCrate a Legit Site?
Yes, I’d definitely say it’s a legit site, but it’s only to be used for creating extra ‘pocket money’ at best.
If you are looking for regular money I’m not really sure this is the best bet for you, the offers seem to dry up rather quickly.
I find that a lot of people get into these sites with the wrong kind of mindset – you can certainly make money with them, but nowhere near the amounts the homepage suggests!
At the end of the day, if you don’t like some of the things you read about CashCrate and want other options that are similar you can look at the mighty Clixsense. Alternatively, you can take a free course that teaches you how to build up a full time income online…
