Blog Content Generator

I get a little irritated with people searching online for an effective blog content generator because they only exist in one place – your own mind!

Why are you searching for something that you already possess?

It’s true that writing is a skill and it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to become a better writer. But it’s one of those practice makes perfect situations – you don’t have to be Shakespeare to run a blog.

Everyone has a free blog content generator built inside themselves – all they have to do is find the confidence to use it. Combine this with decent grammar and blog post elements and you’re onto a winner.

1) Story Spinner Online

Story Spinner OnlineThis is a strange little site that was recommended to me by a webmaster who specialized in writing short stories. It’s definitely directed more towards the fiction writers out there so if you like to produce original stories for your blog give this little beauty a try.

I was a little dubious about the site to begin with as I’ve been around the internet block a few times. I thought it was going to be nothing more than a malware infested upsell but it turns out it is legit.

It is presented by Fiona Veitch Smith, a freelance journalist, editor, author, playwright, screenwriter and writing teacher. If you are looking to improve your blog writing then you would be a fool to ignore this. Check it out yourself here

  1. To be honest I have never heard of a content generator for writing. Sounds bizarre!
I have been quite happy to just writing my blogs, like you say I am the content generator.
Do you think if I have been happy doing this as they are that checking out those suggestions would be worthwhile or just carry on as I have been?

    1. Definitely keep up with what you’re doing Lynne – if you are able to write blog pieces naturally then stick with it. As I pointed out – YOU are the blog content generator so make use of yourself. Some people are not so lucky and struggle to write naturally, these options could well help their efforts ( but by the sounds of things you’re doing just fine by yourself!!! ).

  2. Hello

    1. Hi there Roamy,
Glad you found the piece so informative 🙂
The story spinner is a pretty cool piece of kit when used correctly – I’d recommend anyone who struggles to come up with new content ideas to give it a go!
Good luck with it – get writing!!!!

  3. Very interesting, I will have to try out some of these tools you speak of such as story spinner and the crafty writer being able to creatively write would help so much. These are cool resources. Have you ever gotten constructive criticism from writers cafe? Thanks for sharing.

    1. Hi Brandon,
Yes I’ve delved into the world of Writer’s Cafe on more than one occasion – a very useful and intelligent website/community. I would go into it with a thick skin and take on board all the feedback you find – after all, it’s only opinions at the end of the day 🙂
Glad this article turned out to be so useful for you!!!

  4. I’m glad I stumbled onto your site….. I am one of those who definitely struggle in putting together quality content for my blog….. and yet, you’re bang on in telling me that it’s already ALL IN MY HEAD….. i just need to practice being able to access it 🙂 Thanks for the wake-up call as well as the helpful tools you recommended.

    1. Producing content is one of those tasks where the more you do it, the better you get at it. Keep at it Joe – it will become a lot more natural and therefore easier in time 🙂

  5. Hi Chris , nice comparison , I never thought content is like water before.May be I should drink some of my content.

There are so many resources available online to get inspiration for blog content that can easily help everyone.I visit daily a lot of blogs and I have so many ideas for future posts but I don’t have the time to implement on all these.

I will check your recommendations as I am open to new propositions but definitely Wealthy Affiliate community gets my vote as it is a community where thousands of blogs are been created every day.An endless resource of inspiration.

For me content is everywhere , in every discussion , on TV , on radio. You clarified it so well , it is not the content that bloggers fear , is the self confidence that they have to boost.Once you begin and practice things are getting into shape.

    1. Hi Tasos,
Blogging is down to nothing more than self confidence – the more you practice and write the easier you will find it to locate new post ideas – it’s all in the mind 🙂

  6. Dear Chris,

Wow! What a colorful and most insightful simple, straight to the point overview on how Blog Writing is a fun activity indeed in terms of creativity and having your voice better heard throughout the Internet virtual digital world. 🙂 As always, I tend to value my opinions and viewpoints whenever I write any kind of quality content on my website. 🙂

Although it is quite alright to “Get Influence and Ideas from Others,” it is better to stay unique and original instead. 🙂

Wishing you all the best with your online success above and beyond the horizon,

    ~Angel

  7. Hi Chris:

I have heard of Wealthy Affiliate as I am a member and for anyone reading this article, I highly recommend it. I have not however heard of the other programs you mentioned to include Crafty Writer and Creative Writing Now. I will have to check those two sites out.

My eye brows raised a little bit when I saw the name Story Spinner Online, because article spinning is not considered ethical or correct to do. But it sounds legit despite having the word “spinning” in reference to writing in it.

Thank you for the enjoyable read.

  8. Interesting article. I agree with you when you say we all have an automatic content generator in ourselves.

I used to do Autoblogging, which is a similar concept, but after trying to run six sites using this method, the results were not good, and I don’t think I even enjoyed reading the nonsense that was dished onto the site.

Now I do all my own writing, and the sites look so much better and at least something to be proud of, and not embarrassed about.
