Our Final Opinion on Likeable Social Media
This was a pretty impressive social media marketing guide for beginners. Most social media guides end up becoming obsolete a few months after publication. This is usually down to the fact that the social world is an ever-changing landscape.
Most platforms are constantly bombarded with new regulations, new offerings, and altered procedural steps. The author, Dave Kerpen, has managed to sidestep this with style.
Kerpen manages to provide you with a sincere mindset that will remain valid under any change in social circumstance.
He highlights the fact that most companies that choose to branch out online end up sounding like an insurance salesperson. He also highlights the fact that these same companies insist on talking instead of listening!
All this leads us to the main point Kerpen is trying to get across to newbies – our purpose online is to listen and evaluate not jump into ‘sell mode’.
Kerpen doesn’t just throw these techniques at you blindly – he manages to document his assertions by referring to companies who are implementing his recommendations.
I was surprised to see that big players like The Gap and Cisco had taken on his social marketing teachings and were succeeding through them!
We highly recommend this social marketing guide – no matter your skills or experience level with social media.
