Best Free SEO Software Tool?

Best Free SEO Software Tool

If you’re anything like me you like things FREE! ( I just re-read that sentence and realized it rhymed! ).

Starting up a successful online business can be quite a damaging experience for your wallet, so it’s good to be aware of the free choices on the market.

In this article we will be looking at the best free SEO software tool option for your online business. Make your website as ‘search engine friendly’ as possible without breaking the bank…

Online Free SEO Tools

Below is a list of my current, favorite SEO tools that don’t cost me a dime. Check them out and see if there’s any you feel will suit your online business…

#1 SEO-Browser

We all know that Google sends it’s little nippers out to scan through our webpages and return with the lowdown on our site. It’s all a bit ‘hush hush’ really – we know what they are looking for but we don’t know how they relay their findings.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have some sort of idea what these bots see when they visit your site? Surely that would give you some sort of advantage right?

Enter the beauty of SEO-Browser. This is an extremely simple yet powerful free SEO tool that concentrates on the views of a search engine.

It basically takes a webpage and shows you how this webpage appears to the search engines. It looks past all the graphics and ‘bells and whistles’ that the engines cannot digest.

It gives you a birds-eye view of your site without confusing you with all the technical jargon that’s involved.

#2 Xenu

I came across this awesome little download when I was searching for paid options on a website crawler. I had several hundred URL’s on one of my site and I needed to know how healthy each page link was.

Xenu Link Sleuth is a free download that crawls all the links on your site and reports on URL metrics. These metrics include:

  • Your HTTP Status Code
  • The Content Type
  • Page Size
  • Broken Links

It’s not the most dynamic looking of tools but it can do most of the things that a paid website crawler can do ( just a little slower! ). I often use it to locate out of date or broken links on my websites – works like a charm ( and it’s FREE of course! ).

#3 Google PageSpeed Insights

Google Pagespeed Insights allows you to check the speed an usability of your blog on various devices. It’s a simple case of loading in your URL and hitting a button.

Google PageSpeed Insights

The tool will then test out the loading time and performance of this URL for the medium of desktop and mobile. It then highlights the areas you could improve on and even gives you an overall rating/score. This score gives you a representation of your site’s user-experience.

#4 Ubersuggest

Before I discovered the awesome power of Jaaxy I was a frequent user of Ubersuggest. I still use it now, but not as often as I used to.

As far as brainstorming possible ( and popular ) ideas for blog posts this baby is up there with the best. It’s basically a keyword tool that makes use of various suggestion services related to a term.

You simply plug in a niche term you want to write about and hit a button – before you know it an absolute ton of suggestions are thrown at you!

You can then dig a little deeper by clicking each suggestion and getting further, more elaborate suggestions on them.

This really is a wonderful FREE tool for online marketing.

#5 Google Analytics

If you are in the process of running a blog or website and it is not linked to a Goolge Analytics account you are on the wrong path.

Google Analytics is a webmaster’s bread and butter – you are basically fumbling around in the dark without it!

This free tool offers webmasters detailed statistics about their website’s traffic and traffic sources. It covers:

  • Audience Statistics
  • All Traffic Sources
  • Conversion Statistics
  • Content Reports
  • And much, much more…

Google provides this tool free for anyone who has a Google account ( gmail will do just fine ). I could dedicate a whole article to the parameters and benefits it offers. As a website owner – I couldn’t get by without it!

A simple Google search will bring up the domain area you need to go to sign up for one of these free accounts. If you don’t have one – I suggest you get there now!

The Best Free SEO Software Tool?

Out of the five tools listed above I would definitely shoot for Ubersuggest and Google Analytics first. These two are near enough essential for any newcomer to the internet marketing world who is a little strapped for cash.

If you are one of the lucky ones who has a full wallet I would always suggest checking out Jaaxy’s free trail with a view to signing up for premium. This tool has given me the power to outrank many big time competitors since I started using it.
